What We Do
Doctors of Chiropractic practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.
Chiropractic is the separate and distinct branch of the healing arts whose science and art utilize the inherent recuperative powers of the body and the relationship between the musculoskeletal structures and functions of the body, particularly of the spinal column and the nervous system, in the restoration and maintenance of health. Chiropractic is a learned profession (requiring a doctorate degree) which teaches that the relationship between structure and function in the human body is a significant health factor and that such relationships between the spinal column and the nervous system are most significant, since the normal transmission and expression of nerve energy is essential to the restoration and maintenance of health.
Chiropractic is based on the idea that the body is self-sustaining and self-healing. The body is in essence completely controlled by the brain through its connection via the spinal cord and the vast networks of nerves that make up the body. When this system is not functioning at its peak, the overall performance of the human body is lacking.
Chiropractors will refer patients to the appropriate health care provider when chiropractic care is not suitable for the patient’s condition, or when the condition warrants co-management in conjunction with other members of the health care team.
On the first visit the doctors will go over your health history, current symptoms, and then assess your condition by doing an examination. We do not need or take routine x-rays. Our doctors will then explain their findings and make adjustments to correct the problem. They will attempt to make progress on that first visit. After your appointment the doctor will make a suggestion for a treatment plan. Depending on your condition and diagnosis you may need to return for several more visits.
Chiropractic adjustment rarely causes discomfort. However, patients may sometimes experience mild soreness or aching following treatment (as with some forms of exercise) that usually resolves within 12 to 48 hours.
We have successfully treated many injuries using cold laser as an adjunct to chiropractic treatment. Low level lasers have proven to be effective in reducing and eliminating acute and chronic pain in many different areas of the body. Many patients find that this treatment is a much more effective and immediate solution for pain, and is a nice alternative to traditional pain medications.
Today you will find that low level laser therapy is finding its way into many different medical applications. Erchonia Corporation has been working to advance the field of laser therapy by acting as independent researchers and product developers and by obtaining official validation from the scientific and medical community.

Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including, muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage Therapy is an alternative clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with everyday and occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions.
Regular monthly massage provides therapeutic relief to people of all ages and all walks of life. Massage offers a drug-free, non-invasive and humanistic approach to wellness based on the body's natural ability to heal itself.
While finding a reason to treat yourself to a massage may be easy, finding the time to do so may be more challenging. Taking time to take care of your health is frequently difficult to prioritize — keep in mind that one-to-two hours of massage can possibly make everything you do less stressful and less painful, allowing you to be more productive with the rest of your day!
Even if you don’t have a specific health issue, massage therapy can provide many benefits, such as:
• Increased circulation
• Stimulation of the lymph system, the body's natural defense against toxic invaders
• Release of endorphins, the body's natural painkiller
• Improved range of motion and decreased discomfort associated with lower back pain
• Relaxation of injured and overused muscles
• Reduced muscle spasms and cramping
• Increased joint flexibility
• Help recover from strenuous workouts
• Pain relief from migraines
• Reduce post-operative adhesions and edema, as well as reduced scar tissue
The added benefit of massage therapy at The Corporate Chiropractor Center for Health and Human Performance is something we as Chiropractors love for our patients to experience and absolutely compliments what it is we do. WE are dedicated to your improved health and wellness and massage is just one more benefit for you.
Our massage therapists are Monica Richardson LMT, SMRT and Helen Basal LMT
Spontaneous Muscle Release Therapy addresses the patient's condition by passive contraction of muscles, ligaments, connective tissues, and bones simultaneously to allow spontaneous release of these structures. SMRT stimulates lymphatic flow and creates a natural unwinding of connective tissues, which allows the joints of the body to realign effortlessly, re-establishing correct posture. This constitutes Manual Therapy, Postural Rehabilitation, Neuromuscular Therapy and Myofascial Release.
